Rick Rowan is a healthcare entrepreneur, innovator & facilitator.
After living himself with back pain for over 30 years & then resolving his issue using bioelectrical medical technology, he began the 5 year journey of developing ground breaking application of centuries old medicine, using latest technology and best available medical evidence. He was the brains and developer behind the world's first ultrawearable dual treatment device. The tech version of painkiller and anti-inflammatory combined.
He has appeared innumerable times as a thought leader and expert commentator in the media internationally including TV, Radio & print.
Rick is currently the Founder of NuroKor Bioelectronics. A medical technology company specialising in non implantable electroceuticals, bioelectrical medicine, development of it’s technology and making a positive impact on quality of life on a global scale.
I provide commercial leadership to install and deliver the Company vision with ingenuity and integrity.
I utilise an innately entrepreneurial and scientific mindset to navigate global markets whilst inspiring others join our journey, promoting innovation and developing ethical partnerships worldwide.
My family - wife and 4 kids. I live for them. The opportunity to impact the health and quality of life on a global scale. I have a love of science and motorcycle racing.
I use NuroKor products on an almost daily basis for many overall health benefits, and less often to manage lower back and neck pain. From time to time as a neck and shoulder tension release for headache and migraine. I could not live a quality life without them.
Evidence shows bioelectronics can help mitigate some of the biggest health challenges that we're facing.
My role covers anything with a number attached - of course, all with the skills and attention to detail associated with accountancy super heroes.
As a financial expert I obviously have a cracking sense of humour. But seriously;
Financial rigour experience of raising funds and ongoing due diligence for fast growing startups, SMEs through to large scale corporate's.
I get immense satisfaction from doing good work that’s appreciated and helping the business achieve our financial goals. Every day’s a chance to improve. My Passion is accuracy and, of course, honesty.
Its early days for my device journey – but I’m enjoying having an alternative to pharmaceuticals for the everyday pains of being CFO.

Hege’s career as a professional Obstacle Course Runner saw her taking 1st place in the 24 hour Kvalik race as well as gaining 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in other long distance races. NuroKor's products have given Hege the opportunity to treat and prevent injuries herself and she found that following some pain in her hamstring after a sprain, she was able to get back in full training much faster.
These are clearly my achievements in the World Cup in 24 hours of obstacles. Have taken two years in a row 5. Place in the elite group. And with a bad cold right before the run this year and yet a personal length record, I still have more to give for next year. Took 1st place in the last year's 24 hour Kvalik race and has both 1st 2 and 3rd place in other long distance obstacle courses. This is clearly my thing.
Moving around, playing and having fun. I am a huge fan of the mountains, both winter and summer, with all the beautiful impressions that follows being active here. And on the sport front, burning for obstacle runs, which I see more as a playground for adults, gives me the opportunity to exercise versatility with rowing and climbing as well as running and basic strength. It doesn't get boring :)
I am still working towards a pallet placement for World Championship in 24 hours in an obstacle run. But also have a little dream to join Norseman. Otherwise, I have a goal and hope to reach more people with a healthy form of injury prevention, which is a growing trend when training has become a fashion. People think it's a tough thing to achieve, despite the injury. Such a choice may in fact be the choice between many races, or one last one, and never again.
I have had incredibly good experience with similar treatment with skilled personnel before. For me exercising so much, keeping myself injury-free is incredibly important. Through Nurokor's products, I have the opportunity to treat and prevent myself to a greater extent. I also get the chance to spread this opportunity to more people. A safer option to keep your body healthy without that is also cost effective.
Last year, I had an irritation in hamstrings after a sprain in August. With diligent use, I was back in full training much faster, and managed to get to the top so my qualifying run went as planned. I don't think 1st place would have been as easy without the treatment along the way
On the side of my own sport, I have spent time guiding other runners with different challenges in their daily lives. I want to reach more people with the importance of not burning out the body in training, but working safely and having patience. In addition, drop a haircut hour in favor of preventative treatment to prevent future injuries. I see far too many people forcing the body despite the hurts and minor flaws after poor exercise, and thus ending up with greater stresses and sometimes even stress fractures because they just had to. If there is one thing I have a very high focus on, it is to take the time to heal. At my age, the results are still coming, but a little slower than when I was 20 years old. I think the reason it is going so well is that I have accepted this :) So how have I resolved my own impatience? Yes, because I am. I have simply put myself aside, and periodically focus on people other than myself. I do this by accompanying the visually impaired who need support to participate and run. It is incredibly rewarding and I learn a lot about both having such challenges and about myself in relation to things I take for granted. Encourage others to do the same. Find someone you can push and help. Have fun and relax together and relax more in your everyday life. Yes and then finally - new for this year - have participated in the World Championships in aquatic animal racing and yeah, improve an 8. Place for next year ha ha - I am totally hooked - we talk running in and out of water with a "swimming animal" on the back that is minimum 110cm - to handle obstacles:)

Liam on power of bioelectronics: "In recovery mode, the gentle stimulation from a bioelectrical device helps with; blood flow, the removal of fatiguing byproducts of exercise and delivery of nourishing blood for healing and recovery. Muscle tone is more readily relaxed back to a healthy resting state, facilitating relaxation and the recovery process. I have found this reduces levels of DOMS and allows for a quicker return to training readiness."

Although Madeleine believes her biggest achievements still lie ahead of her she feels privileged to have had the opportunity to dance with the Duprada Dance Company where she has performed both as Aurora in Sleeping Beauty and as Swanhilda in Coppelia. Madeleine has a keen interest in bioelectrical medicine and feels strongly that the use of natural, holistic methods to help your body recover, heal and perform is vastly underrated in the area of sports medicine. She has found that NuroKor has helped improve her muscle recovery and isolation. She has also used the microcurrent therapy setting to complete healing the tissue damage caused by hip impingement.
Being given the chance to perform Aurora and Swanhilda in the full length ballets The Sleeping Beauty and Coppelia, respectively, with Duprada Dance Company when I was 19. I'm am happy to say that my biggest achievements are still ahead of me - that's both exciting and scary!
I love my family and I love to dance. Dancing makes me feel more human as odd as that sounds! Working through class every morning is like a daily meditation and at the same time, it’s what makes me want to improve and work on bettering myself each and every single day. It’s a never ending journey and at the same time each day it’s a fresh start. No matter where you go anywhere in the world, it’s so comforting to know that both incredible principal artists and young dancers starting their careers begin their day in the same way - at the barre.
I have physical and technical goals of course like being able to consistently perform multiple pirouettes, jump higher, have better extensions, but I am also working on myself as an artist. There are many technically perfect dancers out there today and I naturally want to be able to physically perform at the highest standard I can, but I also want to become the best artist I can be. I want to make an audience feel something and leave the theatre renewed after a few hours in another world. The best performances I have seen are not always the most technically perfect ones but that ones that touch your soul.
I have been interested in biomedicine for a couple of years now. The science of making your body heal, recover and perform at its best while using holistic and natural methods is perhaps one of the most underrated and important scientific improvements in sports medecine. Of course this is where the technology will get the most recognition but the beauty of this technology is that it helps everyone. Casual gym goers to elite athletes. The kind of technology that helps people of all walks live a happier, healthier life gets a big yes from me.
Since using my NuroKor, not only have I seen an improvement in my muscle recovery and isolation, but I was also dealing with the remnants of a hip impingement and I have seen that heal rapidly using the Microcurrent setting. I have tried different strength work, stretches and physios but the effects haven’t been long term. The fact that I can deal with this quickly and effectively and comeback stronger has been a game changer for me.
I’m not sure how normal I am but being normal is overrated!
When I was younger I moved around a lot, we were never in the same house for more than three years! I was homeschooled along with my brother and two younger sisters with Seton Homestudy School, and for that I will always be so grateful to my mum.
I Love reading and find that the hardest thing about travelling is not having paper books, I always cave and buy some however as I can’t stand reading from a screen! I’m currently working on reading through a list of books that people need to read in their life and it has been so interesting! My favorite genres are biographies, philosophy, and history. Living in Europe has made me obsessed with learning more about history because as they say, “those who don’t learn from mistakes made in history are destined to repeat them”. Life is too short to make mistakes that have already been proven to be mistakes! "

Just as all pills aren’t the same, neither are devices. It’s not a question of whether bioelectrical medicine works or not - our own experience and the evidence of thousands of others using any of three clinically proven technologies for observed positive outcomes, stands as evidence of its incredible potential to improve quality of life. The real question is whether there’s legitimate research associated with this technology. We believe there’s no excuse for any medical device company not to encourage research with its proprietary technology so we work and collaborate with doctors, clinicians practitioners, researchers and athletes around the world in the pursuit of excellence, based on the very best available evidence, technologies and treatment protocols.
Our vision is to continually develop science and technology that puts the power of leading edge bioelectrical medicine directly in the hands of the many - to offer you and everyone you know, of all ages, an effective choice beyond pills.
