Meet Shaina Kumar, NuroKor’s new Communications Lead

Meet Shaina Kumar, NuroKor’s new Communications Lead

As NuroKor continues to grow its presence in global markets, Shaina Kumar joins as Communications Lead to drive the communications strategy across all marketing touchpoints.

Shaina, who was previously Engagement and PR Manager at giffgaff, will be responsible for fostering strategic partnerships, activating campaigns, developing content and finding new opportunities to increase NuroKor's brand awareness and share-of-voice.

Shaina says: “What attracted me to NuroKor was their strong sense of purpose which was established from the offset. With its smart tech and innovative products, NuroKor is empowering people across the world to take back control of their wellbeing. This is big!”

A seasoned communications expert with 15 years’ experience, Shaina started as a broadcast journalist, producing and presenting shows for CNN and BBC. Later, she transitioned into marketing, successfully leading strategies, campaigns, and teams in B2B and B2C environments.

Shaina has spent the last six years at giffgaff (Telefonica) helping them drive their content, customer engagement and PR strategy. Shaina’s proudest work at giffgaff was the goodybank campaign. The campaign supported 200 local communities and more than 50,000 vulnerable people across the UK during the pandemic.

At NuroKor, Shaina is looking forward to bolstering the company’s purpose and telling compelling stories of genuine impact.

“The vision of the company is inspirational. I am excited about the new areas that NuroKor is planning to enter, it’s going to be life changing for so many.”

Outside work, Shaina is an avid traveller, runner, dancer, and amateur painter. Shaina enjoys a good adventure and is often seen trying her hand at some new water sport (fun fact, she can’t swim!). She is also a mum to two-year-old Ishir.
