NEW PODCAST LAUNCH : NuroKor launches first ever bioelectronics podcast

A message from our CEO:

Hi guys,

A really proud moment for me here. We’ve been making so much progress these last few months. Bioelectronics, as a field, just seems to be going from strength to strength. I started my journey as a patient… I’d experienced over three decades of agonising back pain and turned to bioelectronics almost as a last resort. I didn’t know why, but it worked.

I studied the science, began to understand the mechanisms and saw that anecdotally, many were seeing the benefit, both improving and optimising health and recovery for patients and even athletes. But in terms of clinical research and awareness, there was still plenty to do and plenty of opportunity.

So I started NuroKor - intent on finding the best applications for bioelectronics and building specific hardware and software to deliver it. We’ve now grown to a team of over 20 and we’re a fully-fledged, evidence-led bioelectronics company building hardware and software to deliver electrotherapy. We’re now also in the early part of initial clinical studies with NHS and other healthcare and academic organisations and the benefits to patients, and the health economic benefits are now really starting to show.

We’re talking about all this and our journey from here in our brand new podcast, launching today - The Bioelectronics Podcast, by NuroKor. If you want to learn more about bioelectronics and hear about the technology, the applications in healthcare and even hear from some pro athletes using it to optimise their physical health and recovery from exercise and injury, give it a listen and let me know what you think.

Transcript:

Welcome to The BioElectronics Podcast by NuroKor. I am your host Rick Rowan, CEO, and Founder of NuroKor BioElectronics. This podcast is all about bioelectricity and its place amongst clinicians and healthcare. Each week we will be holding conversations with key medical experts and health opinion leaders to begin to understand the research and development into bioelectrical application and the numerous physiological benefits it has. Everything from common terminology misconceptions to pre-op and post-op application, microcurrent and economic benefits and applications of bioelectricity. We hope to open a discussion on the importance of electroceuticals in the health tech space.

For 30 plus years I have suffered with a chronic lower back condition that could leave me immobile for days. I would often find myself resorting to a cocktail of pills and trying new prescriptions from my doctor - which would offer me little to no assistance. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the concept of bioelectrical medicine, which is the baseline technology used by NuroKor, that I noticed a dramatic improvement and started getting the pain management I needed.

This ‘centuries-old’ technology offered a pain solution, but after reviewing the existing research on bioelectricity, it was clear that the physiological advantages of the technology were incredible, and the protocol treatments needed to be optimised. Every person’s anatomy and biochemistry is unique and their treatment should be too. Through protocol optimisation, the technology can target specific symptoms and physiological pathways, to assist with everything from wound healing to chronic pain and more.

We are on the verge of entering a new age of the body-electric. One where bioelectric technology has the potential to become a pillar of medical treatment and has a significant impact on healthcare and clinicians’ treatment options for a variety of conditions.

NuroKor are at the cutting edge of this new field of medicine. Not only do we look at best evidence to see where bioelectric technologies are best applied, we also further the field with our own clinical research studies - helping us optimise the technology and we’re working with a number of healthcare and academic organisations to do this.

I am Rick Rowan, founder, and CEO of NuroKor BioElectronics. Our non-invasive devices deliver bioelectrical therapy to those from all walks of life, right the way up to elite athletes - some of whom will be featuring on this podcast.

Led by evidence and driven for change, at NuroKor, we’re committed to creating a positive impact to  quality of life on a global scale.
